Helicopter Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular California Coast
A chopper flying over a well-attended California shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Recordings uploaded on the internet capture the aircraft beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a steps near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
Local firefighters reported five persons were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the accident on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
