Paramount Skydance Set to Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – News

Paramount Skydance plans to initiate significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are anticipated, as the firm aiming to disclose complete information in its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.

Prior news stated that Paramount planned to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 positions before the start of November.

As of December 2024, Paramount had almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented to a request for comment.
