Travelers on British Airways can soon use fast connectivity onboard free of charge after a recent agreement with Elon Musk's space company.

Complimentary and High-speed Internet for All

The airline revealed that the free, “fast and dependable” wifi offering via the satellite provider is set to be available to travelers in economy, business, or premium cabins as of soon.

Widespread Deployment Over Multiple Airlines

The umbrella organization of BA, the airline group, stated it had secured an deal involving the satellite firm for providing connectivity access for 500-plus planes across their carriers, including the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.

Smooth Wifi from Gate to Arrival

The airline stated that the rollout of this service was part of a £7bn “transformation” initiative that will offer smooth connectivity access for travelers starting at boarding through arrival, including when they are flying above large bodies of water and far-off locations.

Passengers can link several devices while they will not require a separate access code.

Current Connectivity Offerings

Limited internet service is currently available to British Airways flyers through most of the airline's aircraft via its .air system.

Members in BA’s loyalty club may dispatch messages plus plain-text messages during flights free of charge, while passengers who want to watch music, films, and movies throughout their travel who are not flying in first class may pay between four pounds ninety-nine to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for one connectivity package.
