The Pop Star Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Fictional Documentary First Look

Charli XCX is gearing up for a substantial cinematic presence in 2026, kicking off with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

In the film, the artist plays what she calls as a hell version of her public image.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music industry that I’ve ever encountered, the performer commented.

She clarified in a discussion: It’s not a tour documentary, however the inspiration originated from the expectation to make one.

A Glimpse into The Moment

The initial preview, unveiled on Thursday, blends real clips from her live performances with fictionalized off-stage interactions.

The mockumentary is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who shared that the story focuses on a world where the singer made entirely different choices in the publicity of her smash hit album Brat.
