Trump's Family Member Receives Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete boasts impressive social media presence
Kai Trump will have plenty of well-known backers when she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns multiple courses worldwide and often competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially advised me to play and have fun," she added.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in only three events recently and holds the 461st position in AJGA standings.
Yet she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with her mother.
"He represents the best player worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to compete, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against some of top competitors in professional golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, particularly with younger fans.
Kai has a massive following and just introduced a personal fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
